Teren app in practice
Practical videos of geophysical survey using the Teren software
Shear wave refraction
Shear waves refraction is used to determine mechanical properties of ground for future water dam. The propagation of horizontal shear waves is registered by Summit X One system. Seismic energy was produced in two opposite directions by using a special source. Records were simultaniously collected into a database and later processed with Teren application.
Active MASW survey
Active MASW survey was carried out along large abandoned depot where future factory is planned. The aim was to determine the stiffness of the ground and depth-to-basement for the factory foundation. Only two persons carried out the MASW survey by moving the receivers along different lines thus enabling to achieve reliable 3D image of the ground up to 30 m depth. Summit X One system was used and the data were collected and pre-processed by Teren.
Shallow seismic by Geofizika d.o.o. Ljubljana
Geofizika d.o.o. is specialized in near surface seismic investigations. On the site where a footbridge across a very large valley is planned seismic refraction with P-waves was carried out. The Summit X One system from DMT Group was used thus enable Geofizika d.o.o. to perform the measurements by 2 men only.
